POSTERS ON BOARD  is currently hiring for the position of Wood Painting Specialist.

Starting position is mainly Board Painting, but could expand into other specialties, if talent & desire dictate.  Current position is a day or 2 per week, depending on workload.     Expect to work friendly retail hours, primarily during weekdays or Saturdays, during normal business hours.  We work primarily with latex paints in a well ventilated shop.  Sanding boards to smooth & precise edge, prior to painting, is part of the process.  Occasional working with a table saw may be necessary & working with proper safety equipment & following safety guidelines is mandatory.

 

In business since 1984,  POSTERS ON BOARD is a small, family-owned shop, centrally located in Richfield.   We have one of the largest selections of Posters & Art Prints in the Midwest.    In addition to Traditional Picture Framing, we offer our unique Custom Board Mounting - an economical alternative.

 

Successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong customer service skills & be detail-oriented with a creative vision.    A working knowledge of art materials & genres are a plus.  Interpersonal Relations, Service with a Smile & a Great Attitude are essential.    A practical Math Aptitude, including decimal & fraction computations, is required.   Candidate MUST present a professional appearance, be reliable & possess a desire to learn numerous aspects of a creative-oriented frame shop.

 

This position has potential to advance into other duties such as Mat Cutting, Picture Framing & Wood Mounting, as workloads dictate.    Pay will depend on qualifications, with opportunities for training, advancement & increased responsibility.
